ABOUT THE MIGHTY REBEKAH
The brainchild of Emmy Award-winning Sound Designer, Paca Thomas, The Mighty Rebekah was originally created by Roger Arrick of Synthesizers.Com, the premiere builder of Moog-style modular analog synthesizers. She was constructed under the supervision of James Allen.
Though at her heart, Rebekah is a Moog-style Analog synth (aka Subtractive or East Coast synthesis), she also features decidedly Buchla-style West Coast necessities such as Wavefolders, FM and Low Pass Gates. She even sports a cadre of amazing Eurorack modules.
Originally hosting 173 Moog Unit (MU) spaces, she has recently been expanded to 223, not counting her Eurorack spaces, making her one of the largest - and certainly most unique – synthesizers of her kind.
Classic in style and sound, but modern in construction and application, Rebekah features MIDI implementation for easy connection to and from the digital world. Her high-quality, touch-sensitive dual 61-note MIDI keyboards can be split into zones.
Along with the keyboards, Rebekah can be controlled a number of ways. Other controllers include Step Sequencers, Pitch Wheel, Modulation Wheel, Expression Block, Whammy Bar, Ribbon Controller and even a Moog Etherwave Theremin.
ABOUT THE MIGHTY REBEKAH
Boasting 31 Oscillators (VCOs), 21 Filters (VCFs) with 14 different designs from classic synths, up to 26(!) step sequencers, 4 arpeggiators and the capability of producing 10 or more fully realized analog voices simultaneously, she is a sonic giant. Not unlike her inspiration, TONTO, Rebekah is truly an analog synthesizer orchestra.
